Pacific Silkscapes' mission is not only to provide the best in artificial plants, artificial trees and floral designs, but also to provide the best in customer service. We have found that you can't have one without the other.
Pacific Silkscapes was called Inter Flora for over 20 years. The company was strictly focused on decorating model homes and serving interior decorators. Inter Flora maintained a showroom full of silk flowers, vases, planters, elements and a selection of high quality silk trees, plants and floral arrangements.
Inter Flora was purchased by Frank and Marie Civitano in 2008, right when the economy went into one of the worst recessions since the last depression. Home prices collapsed and builders stopped building homes due to depressed home prices. Sacramento county was especially hard hit.
Inter Flora had to be redefined and new vertical markets had to be targeted. First, the company became certified by the State Fire Marshal to apply flame retardants. The owners had to come up with a recipe for building large commercial trees. New suppliers of commercial fiberglass planters had to be found and we had to make new customers aware of our new product offerings.
In 2009 the company implemented ecommerce and applied for a GSA schedule contract. After receiving our contract we added a line of products to GSA Advantage. Shortly afterward, we applied for a California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS).
In 2010 we downsized the company and moved into a more cost effective facility. We renamed the company Pacific Silkscapes to emphasis the fact that we were working on more and more commercial plantscapes.
Today, Pacific Silkscapes is back to being profitable and is targeting commercial, government and hospitality suites. We still maintain a full showroom with manufacturing capability and are now open to the public. We continue to serve home builders and interior design firms with model home floral as the economy improves and more new homes are being built. Today, Pacific Silkscapes is a stronger and a more diversified company. We understand the importance of serving your needs.
